Preschool teachers and musically gifted children in Slovene kindergartens

The aim of the present study, which involved preschool teachers, was to explore area working with musically gifted children. In particular, we focused on identification children and monitoring their musical development, teachers’ competence for children, evaluation factors important development Research results showed that majority teachers: were able identify children; rarely monitored documented children’s systematically did not acquire enough knowledge during formal informal education. Among influencing teachers pointed out motivation work cooperation music experts parents, implementation additional activities.
